Nice to meet you! I’m Michelle!
I didn't always have my own comfy writing chair in the corner of the internet. In fact, a few years ago you would have found me with several childrens' desks in my home office, trying to help them learn remotely while I handled the accounts receivable of my husband's business. My single chair salon had been put on pause due to the pandemic, my little sister had recently died of an overdose, and I was undergoing countless tests which would lead to a scary diagnosis: a life-sentence with Multiple Sclerosis.
My disease has forced me to pivot, but rather than doing so with a grudge, I've tried to lean into the position with grace and found absolute joy in helping others.
There's so many things that led to the day I lost full mobility. Many of the contributing factors were environmental toxins, the inability to physically calm my stress and anxiety, and vitamin deficiencies.
My journey has provided me with an awareness to many aspects of my life that were in my control, but at the time I wasn't educated enough to know the repercussions I'd experience by not changing. I didn't understand how these many individual circumstances could accumulate, tipping an invisible scale and ultimately breaking my body. In the wise words of Maya Angelou, "when you know better you do better."
So here I am to hopefully help you do better than I did.
Most days, you'll find me clutching a cup of coffee or decaf for the hot-cup comfort, either working from my little piece of heaven in rural Pennsylvania or my home-away-from-home on the Chesapeake Bay. As an extroverted introvert, I love that this cozy little corner of the web is a place we can share and connect!
