Have you ever seen someone with a hint of blue to their hair and wonder, “How did that happen?” You may wonder if it’s your vision showing its age, argue yourself out of it possibly being you, look again and confirm your confusion. Her hair is actually bluish.

That's purple shampoo! While originally promoted to make silvers and greys more vibrant, blondes caught onto the way it could also neutralize brassiness in their golden locks.

This always takes me back to "Purpleicious," and the power of purple, a book my teenager loved when she was little. Purple is powerful, but in the wrong form in the wrong bottle, it can actually be harmful to your health.

Most purple shampoo brands use sythetic dyes to create their yellow, gold, and dull combatting ingredients. Many of these dyes have actually been linked to bladder cancers, genotoxicity, contamination concerns involving mercury, arsenic lead, and more.

If you're looking for a safer purple shampoo or conditioner, Innersense has formulated my favorite and all of the ingredients are clean!!! Whether you're blonde or silver, using a purple shampoo 2-3 times a week can not only neutralize those brassy tones, but also refreshes greys! Just don't use it every day or every time you shampoo, or you will end up with blue-tinted hair.

Lighter colored hair is extremely porous, so I love that this duo is extremely hydrating, which protects from other variants, like minerals and chemicals in shower water. If you'd like to try it, I'd be grateful if you shop my link below!
